See my students work from the 2008-2009 school year. There's nothing under Ceramics yet, just Design & Drawing and Intermediate Drawing. More to come...

Spring Break Creations!

Soldered necklace from images in an Anthropologie catalog, sandwiched between panes of glass.
Side One

Side Two

Jean skirt from a pair of my brother's old acid-wash jeans.
I don't know which brother will claim them!

Hand-made paper

Unfortunately, the final product did not turn out this vibrant. I blame the sky blue paper.
I love the translucency of this one!

The color is off in this picture. The paper is actually more of a tint.

Silk Dyeing

Samples of silk dyeing. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet. I dyed them in the microwave in a zip-lock bag!

Band Uniform Sample

Mock-up of new band uniforms! It's really awesome to see a sketch be produced.

Band Uniform design

Band uniforms by Rachel? Who would have ever imagined??? The uniforms were approved by the school board for next year. I'll post the picture of the sample uniform the company made soon.

Random doodles!

Felted Beret

This was supposed to be a beret, but it got too small! Now I suppose it could be a wall hanging. The orange wool is wet felted and the swirls are yarn that is dry felted.

Felting

Wet felted purse (brown wool) with dry felted design (pink wool).

Enameled Earrings! Let me know if you'd like a pair.

Examples of paper sculptures for my Intermediate Drawing class. Students will make a paper sculpture from white paper and draw it in black and white charcoal in a trompe l'oeil style.

Scrappy Shift

Long time no post!

So what have I been up to since May? Here's a start...my Prada inspired shift from various scraps of silk and suede. This project started in July and I finally finished in November for Emily's wedding. If only there were more hours in the day!
